Two months remain until this year’s PKO Gdynia Half Marathon. The race route for participants has now been revealed.

The PKO Gdynia Half Marathon 2025 route will undergo only minor adjustments compared to last year’s course. Participants will run past Gdynia’s most notable landmarks, including the Gdynia port and shipyard, the Monument to the Victims of December 1970, Gdynia Główna railway station, and the Experyment Science Center. They will then circle around Polsat Plus Arena Gdynia and the Municipal Stadium before heading back toward the city center. There, they will face a roughly 1 km uphill stretch along Świętojańska Street before turning onto Piłsudski Avenue. The final stretch of the race will take runners along the seaside. The finish line will be located near the ORP Błyskawica and Dar Pomorza ships.

The route of the PKO Gdynia 5K, the accompanying 5-kilometer race, has undergone significant changes. It will now lead runners along the Nadmorski Boulevard, making it a flat and fast course, while also minimizing traffic disruptions for city residents. Both race routes will be certified by the Polish Athletics Association, ensuring precise measurement and allowing results to be officially recognized as records.

The announced routes for the PKO Gdynia Half Marathon and PKO Gdynia 5K have been met with very positive feedback from runners. Here are some of the comments found online:

  • “Awesome!”
  • “The course is fantastic. Always lots of supporters and a finish line on the boulevard!”
  • “Amazing!”
  • “Unfortunately, I couldn’t run last year. This year, I’ve made it one of my main races. I hope to have a great time. See you at the start line!”

Nearly 3,500 runners are already on the start list for the PKO Gdynia Half Marathon.
