The Gdynia running weekend will kick off at Skwer Kościuszki on Friday, April 25. The Fit Living Expo will begin at 14:00. The next day, at noon, the children’s races – Frugo Kids Run – will start.

The youngest age group is expected to include even two-year-olds, who will have to cover a distance of 200 meters. Then, older children will compete, gradually on longer distances.

The start of the PKO Gdynia Half Marathon is scheduled for 20:30. Runners will pass through the city center, passing some of the most important landmarks in Gdynia, including the Port of Gdynia, the Emigration Museum, the Gdynia Shipyard, the December 1970 Victims Monument, the Trade Halls, the Municipal Stadium, and the Experyment Science Center. The start and finish of the race will be located at Skwer Kościuszki.

The Gdynia Half Marathon starts in the evening, late enough for residents to return home from work and take care of their afternoon activities. On the other hand, an evening run through the streets of Gdynia, and especially along the Seaside Boulevard, is an experience in itself. These are unique sensations, with the culmination being the finish line at Skwer Kościuszki, accompanied by the Dar Pomorza and ORP Błyskawica. Emotions that are beyond description.
Maciej Stroiński – Spokesperson for the PKO Gdynia Half Marathon

The final event of the running weekend in Gdynia will be the PKO Gdynia 5K on Sunday. This is an event for those who do not like to stay in bed for too long on a Sunday. Runners will line up at the starting line at 9:00 AM. They will run along the Seaside Boulevard, and when they return to Skwer Kościuszki, commemorative medals and a meal from Viking Kitchen will be waiting for them.
