The children’s races will open the whole running day in Gdynia. Later that same evening, the PKO Gdynia Half Marathon will begin, and a little earlier, the PKO Gdynia 5K will start. Registration is still open, but the number of available places is going down fast.

The start and finish of the Gdynia Kids Run will be located at Gdynia City Beach. Depending on their age, children will run different distances. The shortest one, 150 metres, is for even two-year-old little ones. The oldest group, girls and boys aged 13 to 14, will compete on a one-kilometre course.

  • Girls and boys aged 2 to 4: 150-metre race (born in 2024 to 2022)
  • Girls and boys aged 5 to 6: 300-metre race (born in 2021 to 2020)
  • Girls and boys aged 7 to 8: 300-metre race (born in 2019 to 2018)
  • Girls and boys aged 9 to 10: 600-metre race (born in 2017 to 2016)
  • Girls and boys aged 11 to 12: 600-metre race (born in 2015 to 2014)
  • Girls and boys aged 13 to 14: 1,000-metre race (born in 2013 to 2012)

The youngest children may run with the help of an adult guardian. The others must manage the course on their own. Parents may accompany their children during the race, but they are not allowed to enter the marked race route.

We understand that the youngest children need the support of their mum or dad, and this kind of help is fully allowed. The slightly older ones do very well on their own, and watching their smiles and the passion with which they race to the finish line is a real pleasure. That is where you can truly see the beauty of sporting emotions.

A Medal for Every Athlete

Every participant who crosses the finish line will receive a commemorative medal inspired by the famous fish sculpture, a symbol of Gdynia, located on the Seaside Boulevard.

The winners of each age category will take part in the awards ceremony, where they will receive special trophies.

Race Packs

The organisers have prepared 1,000 race packs, and 650 children are already on the старт list. It is worth registering your child soon, because the pace of registration usually gets faster closer to race day. On the day of the race, registration will be possible only if the limit of 1,000 entries has not been reached earlier.

Later that same day, on Saturday, April 25, after 5:00 PM, the PKO Gdynia 5K will begin. Registration for this race is still open. The 5K is a great option for beginner and recreational runners. Only the last race packs are still available.

The day will end with the half marathon race. The PKO Gdynia Half Marathon start list is already full, with 10,000 runners signed up. This year’s race is also the 35th Polish Athletics Association Half Marathon Championships, where medals will be awarded both to professional runners and to amateurs in individual age categories.
