The PKO Gdynia Half Marathon will be run under the banner of active women. A special zone will be set up at Skwer Kościuszki, where women will find everything they need to feel comfortable before, during, and after the race.

The women’s zone will also feature a space for nursing mothers, as well as a changing table. Diapers will also be available. Women who choose to participate in the PKO Gdynia 5K on Sunday will be able to leave their little ones at the Sportowa Przystań in Gdynia, located at Świętojańska Street 139.

The color is not as important as the fact that women will be able to feel comfortable in this zone. We focus on women. We listen to their voices and adapt the conditions to their needs. We know very well that many women have not participated in running events so far due to various factors that have hindered them. We are determined to remove these obstacles.
Maciej Stroiński – Spokesperson for the PKO Gdynia Half Marathon

The women’s zone will also include a space for nursing mothers, as well as a changing table. Diapers will also be available. Women who decide to participate in the PKO Gdynia 5K on Sunday will be able to leave their children at the Sportowa Przystań in Gdynia, located at Świętojańska Street 139.

I am rooting for all the female runners. Women will make up nearly 1/3 of all participants in the PKO Gdynia Half Marathon, and in the case of the PKO Gdynia 5K, that percentage exceeds 45 percent. Our goal is to reach a point where female runners represent at least half of all participants in the event. We hope that initiatives like the Sportowa Przystań in Gdynia and the special women’s zone in our half marathon village will contribute to achieving this goal. After all… Gdynia is a woman!
Michał Drelich – Director of the PKO Gdynia Half Marathon

Already more than 1/3 of the participants in the PKO Gdynia Half Marathon are women. And registration is still open. This statistic is even better for the PKO Gdynia 5K, where nearly 50 percent of registered participants are women.

Another factor that helps parents make the decision to race is the fact that they do not have to find childcare for their little ones during the race. Moms and dads can participate in the Stroller Race Powered by Thule, which will take place during the PKO Gdynia 5K.

You can start with any jogging stroller. The brand does not matter. However, if someone does not own a stroller, they can rent one for free at the Thule booth in the Fit Living Expo zone. But you must decide quickly

<p style=”text-align: justify;”>The days when young parents had to choose who runs and who walks with the stroller are long gone. Today, the technology used in the design and production of Thule strollers allows for maximum enjoyment while running. Now, we are adding a competitive element to this. I am confident that the “Stroller Race powered by Thule” will bring a lot of excitement, and perhaps young children in strollers, thanks to the sporting atmosphere, will soon catch the running bug themselves.
Patryk Wasiak – Thule

Participants, or rather pairs of a runner and a stroller, do not need to register anywhere additionally to take part in the classification. All they need to do is register for the PKO Gdynia 5K and appear on the course. It will be the judges’ task to spot these pairs on the route and include them in the classification. The top three finishers will go home with attractive prizes provided by Thule.

The PKO Gdynia Half Marathon will take place on the evening of April 26, and the PKO Gdynia 5K the following day, on the morning of April 27. Registration for both events is still open, and online registration will be available until April 20. The start lists for both races already include over 5 thousand runners!
