The registration for the 5 km race, all kids’ races, and the relay races that will take place as part of the April PKO Gdynia Half Marathon is scheduled to start on January 1, 2026 at 14:00.

Wszystkie biegi towarzyszące PKO Gdynia Półmaratonu 2026 odbędą się w tym samym dniu, co bieg główny. To oznacza, że 25 kwietnia Gdynią zawładną sportowcy już od godziny 12:00. Wtedy wystartują pierwsze biegi Gdynia Kids Run.

The youngest children will run 150 meters, and the oldest will have 1000 meters to complete. The start and finish will be located at the City Beach.

Gdynia Kids Run distances:

  • 12:00: ages 2–4, 150 m
  • 12:15: ages 5–6, 300 m
  • 12:30: ages 7–8, 300 m
  • 12:45: ages 9–10, 600 m
  • 13:00: ages 11–12, 600 m

Certified 5K

The PKO Gdynia 5K, a 5,000-meter race, will also take place on Saturday, starting at 17:00. The course will be officially certified by the Polish Athletic Association, so anyone aiming for a personal best can be sure the race will be run over the correct distance. The finish is also planned at the spectacular finish line located at the City Beach.

The participant limit for the PKO Gdynia 5K has been set at 1,500 people. It is worth registering early, because entry packages may sell out very quickly. Registration opens on January 1, 2026 at 14:00. The entry package price in the first price tier is only 69 PLN.

Half marathon in relay format

Anyone who would like to take part in the PKO Gdynia Half Marathon but does not feel ready to run the full distance should invite two other people and register as a relay team. Registration for the relay race is also scheduled to start on January 1 at 14:00.

In relay teams, three runners are required. The half marathon distance is split as follows:

1st runner: 10 km
2nd runner: 6.0975 km
3rd runner: 5 km

Relay teams start together with the other PKO Gdynia Half Marathon participants, on April 25 at 20:30. The relay limit is set at 150 teams. The entry package price in the first pool (50 packages) is 275 PLN.

Half Marathon: the countdown is on

Registration for the main race, the PKO Gdynia Half Marathon, is still open. Almost 5,000 people are already on the start list, and the organizers expect up to 10,000 runners to line up at the start on April 25.

This is not an ordinary race. It is an event that is part of the city’s 100th anniversary celebrations. That is why we want to invite athletes, both professionals and amateurs, to celebrate this special birthday together. Let’s sing “Happy Birthday” for Gdynia and break records: course records, attendance records, personal bests, and maybe even the Polish half marathon record.
Maciej Stroiński, press spokesperson for the PKO Gdynia Half Marathon

The PKO Gdynia Half Marathon 2026 is also the 35th PZLA Polish Half Marathon Championships. This means the race winners, including those in individual age categories, will receive Polish Champion medals.
